Today, the world wide web has more music sites than sites about DNA's effect on plastic as the cause of global globaling. (At the time of this printing, there were exactly 0 sites about the topic indexed in Google.  Go ahead. Search for yourself. Shocking, we know.

Music Magnet was launched because, frankly, there are not enough sites about music that have our tastes collected in one place.

We look at music in a holistic way, taking all aspects of the creation, distribution and appreciation of music into consideration.

We ask questions that help bring up the background, meaning and interesting little anecdotes that give life to song and music.  Questions like:

Who was behind the song before and during its inception and launch into the public?
What lies behind the story of a song?
When did the song make its mark?
Where was the song born and in which way(s) did that affect its creation?
Why was the songwriter inspired to write the song?
How was the song culturally relevant?
